Noble Bob Douglas drills at Whiptail’s WT_2P02 center offshore Guyana

ExxonMobil Guyana continued developmental drilling on 11 October at the Whiptail Project’s WT_2P02 drill center in the Stabroek Block, according to a notice to mariners from Guyana’s Maritime Administration Department. The Noble Bob Douglas drillship is carrying out the work.

The rig is set to finish drilling on 30 November 2026. The drill center sits about 102.3 nautical miles off the Guyana coast and covers roughly 1 sq km.

A fleet of support vessels will accompany the operation, and the notice asks mariners to stay clear and navigate with caution. It supersedes notice 161 of 2026.
