ExxonMobil keeps two Noble rigs at work on Whiptail drill centers

ExxonMobil are keeping two Noble drillships busy on the Whiptail Project in the Stabroek Block, according to notices to mariners from Guyana’s Maritime Administration Department. Both rigs are carrying out developmental drilling within Guyana’s exclusive economic zone.

The Noble Tom Madden resumed operations at the WT_1i11 drill center on 26 September and is set to finish drilling on 31 October. The Noble Sam Croft returned to work on 23 September at the WT_4i02 drill center, with operations scheduled to conclude on 30 September.

Both drill centers sit about 110 nautical miles off the Guyana coast. Each operation is accompanied by a fleet of support vessels, and the notices ask mariners to stay clear and navigate with caution. They supersede earlier notices 150 and 157 of 2026.
