Deepsea Yantai lined up for DNO’s Norma appraisal drilling

The Norwegian Ocean Industry Authority (Havtil) granted DNO Norge consent for exploration drilling in block 25/7 in the North Sea.

The consent covers appraisal well 25/7-15 S and sidetrack 25/7-15 A on the Norma Appraisal prospect. The wells are located in production license 984, which DNO Norge operates.

Drilling will be carried out with Odfjell Drilling’s Deepsea Yantai, a semisubmersible built in China by CIMC Raffles and completed in 2016. It received a Havtil Acknowledgement of Compliance under Odfjell Drilling in November 2019. Water depth at the site is 121 m.
