OGDCL, Mari bring Lundali-1 online in Sukhpur-II Block
Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDCL) and joint venture partner Mari Energies achieved first gas at the Lundali-1 well in Pakistan’s Sukhpur-II Block on 6 September 2026.
The well is producing 10 mcf/d of gas at a wellhead pressure of 2,000 psi, with output supplied to Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC). Lundali-1, located in the Kirthar Foldbelt Basin in Sindh province approximately 270 km north of Karachi, was drilled under a previous joint venture arrangement before being brought onstream by the current partners.
OGDCL and Mari each hold a 30% working interest in Sukhpur-II, alongside operator Prime Global Energies Limited with 25% and Turkish Petroleum Overseas with 15%. The petroleum concession agreement and exploration license for the block, also designated 2568-23, took effect on 2 December 2025.
