Petralon Energy expands Dawes Island drilling under PIA requirements

Petralon Energy restarted the DI-2 well at the Dawes Island field (PPL 259) and began drilling the DI-3 well as part of a development program aligned with Nigeria’s Petroleum Industry Act. The DI-2 restart is delivering incremental production, while DI-3 is targeting additional near-term output.

The activity follows the PIA’s “drill or drop” mandate for license holders and reflects ongoing efforts to restore production from mature onshore assets. Petralon is continuing work to refurbish existing field infrastructure and maintain stable operations as the Dawes Island campaign progresses.
