TotalEnergies contracts Vantage Drilling drillship for West Africa work

Vantage Drilling has entered into a drilling services contract with a subsidiary of TotalEnergies for the ultra-deepwater drillship Tungsten Explorer. The contract is for a minimum duration of 225 days, with three options for extension. The drillship is currently operating in the Mediterranean, where it will drill up to two wells. From there, it is planned to be mobilized to West Africa as early as Q3 2022. Total contract value over the firm term of the contract is approximately $79 million.
